Support H.B. 202
Support Utah Families
Did you know?
In Utah, medically necessary products like diapers, menstrual items, and incontinence products are subject to state sales tax. Exemptions already exist for things like airline food, college textbooks, and prescriptions - but not these necessities.
Families end up paying sales tax that multiplies with the number of children they have. Utahns who care for loved ones that are ill or elderly are taxed for their kindness. This isn’t right.
What can I do?
Support H.B. 202 - Utah Hygiene Tax by Representative Sue Duckworth. This bill removes the tax burden from young families, old families, people on fixed incomes or who are low income, who pay sales tax on medically necessary hygiene products.
